Where Ya' At?! - Mixing and making of my new CD is done and it's 0fficial release will be in latter April during the French Quarter Festival (April 20). My calendar is up and really full. So come see me whenever you can fit it into your busy schedule. Drop me a line in advance to let me know you're coming, and I'll keep an eye out for you. March 24th is a day to mark on your calendar for I will be performing at Irma Thomas' Birthday Celebration at Jazzland, the New Orleans Jazz Historic Park and other school and church fairs. I will be away March 30-April 1 for the Tulip Festival in Washington State. Also, I've added a new Notes From A Diva page here, where I'll have more news, thoughts, musings, and highlights from the road, wherever I'm performing. As always, I love hearing from my fans... please tell me what you think of this website - just click on the Contact Me link wherever you see it! - Love, Wanda
- The Sweetheart of new Orleans -
It's What I Do - This recording is dedicated to the memory of my maternal grandmother, Abigail Pellebon, whose musical efforts during the days of Vaudeville were the inspiration for It's What I Do. Pellebon travelled with the Black Patti Troubadours and sang in New Orleans at the Palace and Lyric Theatres. Enjoy!
A Taste of New Orleans - Although I had recorded and released records on Frisco Records back in the 1960's (see The Frisco Records Story CD), A Taste Of New Orleans is my first effort at producing my own music. With the accompaniment of the great players of A Taste Of New Orleans, we created a record that remains a sentimental favorite.
